Sarah Prevost Shares Her Tech Stack

Sarah Prevost and Lynda Artesani from Mintage Labs joined us for a Firm Spotlight on August 22, 2023, and it was so cool and different to hear about the apps that they are using in the Legal Industry!

A little bit about Mintage Labs

Mintage Labs has 18 team members, servicing 100 clients! Their Niche is Law, and are always open and welcome to Organic Growth. Sarah Prevost has been in the community for 26 years! She and Lynda became partners by getting referred together on a project for Lean Law and had a blast and decided to make a business out of it! Lynda Artesani had already been in the legal field and Sarah was just coming into it, and now they are a dynamic duo.

Internal tech stack overview

Their internal stack is so cool! They are using Liscio for client-facing and file storage, Slack for communicating with large teams and global teams, Ignition for proposals, Google Suite, Practice Protect for locking down their domains for extra security, Keeper for an extra set of eyes to look at 1099s, Publer for Social Media, and Financial Cents. Financial Cents is working as their overview, telling them where each project status is within the month per client. Internal and external deadlines are easy to track and everything is completed in time to be finalized. Keeper is helping them with detailed views of expense inconsistencies. Part of their monthly close process is to check Keeper for any new vendors, and any transactions without payees, and keep up with 1099 reports.

External tech stack overview

Their external stack is just as cool as their internal! They are using QBO and Xero for their accounting software, Dext and Relay for their accounts payable, client-based practice management they are using Clio and Lean Law, Gusto and Quickbooks for payroll. Lynda and Sarah have been splitting the Clio and Lean Law clients, Lynda prefers Lean Law and Sarah prefers Clio. This is a perfect example of how some apps are better for different people. Lynda suggested that if you have an app that you like to get together with them, you can share feedback, and they can send referrals.

In this episode, we covered other apps as well and how they utilize them. Be sure to watch this episode so you can learn how this tech stack works!
